PSP For Dummies began in September 2006 as a spin off of a Talk City forum called PSPlayground. When the current owners of PSP For Dummies heard that their PSP home was shutting down, they jumped to action.
Since that day we've written 50+ lessons, including a lesson on setting palettes in PSP and installing plugins.
PSP For Dummies teaches Paint Shop Pro to people for free. We do it through our forum on Talk City. We will soon be teaching it through our website to outside sources. Browse around our help topics or visit our forum and see if we can help you. You'll not find a better place to learn Paint Shop Pro!
Years ago, as a kid, my mom taught me how to embroider, elementary and high school taught me how to sew. As an adult, a ceramist taught me about ceramics and pottery. When I came to Talk City in September, 2007, I had no idea PSP even existed. A chat buddy signed up for the lessons and each time he came back to the chatroom, he was more and more vocal about the things he was learning. I was intrigued and decided to check it out, locating the room and reading the boards that were available to me. I was hooked before the first folder ever opened. Coming to PSP4D, taking the course and graduating, has given me an outlet for expression that I never experienced before. The Support Staff, Teachers and Asssistant Teachers (those titles deserve to be capitalized!), have given much of themselves (for no pay - only the love of the craft) to make sure everyone has equal opportunity to succeed, regardless of talent or ability. No question is unimportant and encouragement is everywhere. I could leave Talk City tomorrow and never return, but my life will have been changed for the better because of this experience. For that, Thank You seems wholely inadequate. ~1Lumpuckeroo

Several yrs ago, I wanted to learn PSP. I inquired at a forum about it and was told to go do a search on the net and learn it on my own. To no success, I gave up. Then I found this new forum called PSP4Dummies. At last I had found what I was looking for. This is a real teaching forum where all the people in it are sincere in teaching it. That just cinched it for me. From there on, I was hooked in PSP4Dummies. To this day, I continue to learn from these folks, all the time something new. There is no better forum in teaching PSP in my book than PSP4Dummies. The group of folks that run this forum care about their students. They all work so close together and I have not seen that kind of dedication in a forum in a very long time. The atmosphere in PSP4Dummies is exciting, fulfilling, peaceful, drama free. You can not get better care in learning PSP than at PSP4Dummies. ~plumwyld
I started taking lessons when the other girls were in charge. I had NO knowledge of PSP at all. Had only seen other siggys and wanted to learn how to do them too... when I had a problem and would post it. It would seem like forever before they would get back to me which for a beginner is quite frustrating. When I was told the room was having trouble and quitting I was crushed...But, then you gals took it over and I have never been more pleased...I have learned so very much from you all and the course...You are all so very knowledgeable and helpful to all of the people that take the course. I never ever see any of you make any rude or snide remarks to any of the students. ~amibog
