LESSONS
GRADS
  • When you get to start a lesson, take a deep breath, relax, and read it first - at least once all the way through. This way you can see what is going be required, and once you move through the lessons you can then mentally note what you need and will breeze through it.
  • If you find yourself getting confused during the tutorial, print it off instead of screen hopping. This way you have it in front of you, and you can also make notes on it to refer back to for later lessons.
  • Always use the materials given in the lesson (if any), this way if you really get stuck it is easier for others to help you (plus it is easier to be marked and passed).
  • Before starting a particular lesson, you could look in the Lesson Help folder to see if anyone had problems and what the solution was - that way you get a head start and know the pitfalls that may waylay you.
  • When you get stuck, don't be afraid of looking stupid...ASK. As the room motto says "the only dumb question is the one not asked".
  • But the biggest tip of all is to enjoy it. If there is no enjoyment then learning becomes a chore and probably won't see the finishing line. If you feel stressed and are not enjoying it, then put the lessons on the back burner for a while, do what you enjoy and wait till yourself ready to start again (just remember what lesson you were on though lol). There is no time limit, there is no race or set agenda, take it at yourself own pace. So when at the end you get your Big Girls Panties, you will enjoy wearing them all the more.
  • NEW!We do not teach how to use a computer. If you're having issues with your stuff, you don't have to uninstall PSP, you can reset it. If you are having trouble unzipping, posting, attaching, etc. Our standard response is to do your computer maintenance. We don't give you anything in our tutorials that has a virus or spyware or malware. You do however download at your own risk. ALWAYS run a virus scan on everything you download, no matter who it's from. There is one exception to this and that is one of the plugins. Your scanner will say it's a virus, it's not. It is clean. The coding in it is similar to viral coding. It's been used and tested for 2+ yrs.
  • NEW!SAVE OFTEN. Save your work as a .pspimage every 10 steps. Name each save Lesson#Step# where the # is the lesson number and/or the step number in that lesson. This way when you mess up or think you mess up beyond repair you can go in and open the last known good image and start with that step.
  • NEW!COMPARE your finished project to the example in the lesson. ALL of the lessons have an example at the bottom except for 49 and 50. If yours doesn't look like the example, IT'S NOT RIGHT and you will have to figure out why it's not right. Posting to us 15 times to say "is this right" when you know it's not is a waste of time. If you follow all the steps yours should look just like ours (with few exceptions).
