Your computer
Lets begin.
In this lesson you will learn how to delete attachments in Talk City.
First there's a couple of things to remember. #1. Deleting posts does NOT delete the attachment. #2 Pictures that you have in your profile count against your space allotted by Talk City.
1. Sign into Talk City using your nickname.
2. Navigate to any room you want.
3. Click on Post New.

4. You will now be at the New Message screen. Scroll to the very bottom of the page.
5. Click on Attach Files.

6. You will get another window like you see below. #1 is the pie chart that shows you space available (in green) and space used (in red). #2 is the link we're going to use to find old attachments.

7. Click the link indicated by the number 2 in the previous image.
8. You will get a new window that comes up with a list of your attachments.

9. The Forum is the webtag Talk City uses to identify the room. PSP For Dummies webtag is tc-pirchchat. Find one of the older attachments from PSP For Dummies. Do NOT click on it yet.
10. Right click on the attachment name on the right side.
11. Click Open in New Window (Internet Explorer 6) or Open in New Tab (Internet Explorer 7) This will take you to your post with that attachment.
12. At the bottom of your post you will see 3 links right below your attachment icon. Reply, Delete and Edit.

13. Click Edit.
14. Your screen will change to the Edit Message screen.

15. Click Manage Attachments.
16. A new window/tab will open up.

17. Click the button next to the file name then click Delete Selected Attachment.
18. Repeat step 17 until all attachments are removed from this post.
19. Your screen will look like this

20. Click Done. This window will close and you'll be back at the Edit Message screen.

21. Click Cancel.
Space used in your profile will have to be removed through your profile. If you click on the link to an attachment and the discussion shows as being deleted you will have to email fireefly@talkcity.com with the link to the post so she can return your space to you.
